Increase base flows in the upper San Gabriel River watershe

Project Description

Increase base flows in the upper San Gabriel River watershed to conserve Guadalupe Bass through improvements in the riparian area, and lease or purchase of water rights. Conduct EFIT analysis of existing water rights.

Suggested Contact:

Maintain a population of pure Guadalupe Bass. Without action the river will undoubtedly go completely dry in the future.

Beleive there is a TNC property on the North Fork. Private landowners.

Landowner Incentive Program, Hill Country Headwaters Conservation Initiative (EQIP) if Burnet and Williamson Counties could be added.
