Pollution Reduction Initiatives in the Upper San Marcos River

Project Description

Installing trash booms/litter getters in areas of the watershed with high foot & vehicle traffic. Help fund Keep San Marcos Beautiful's Annual River Cleanups (March and October) and help outreach to expand the extent of the cleanup. Provide education material for our transient population to help capture litter at its source – making sure the material is from Keep Texas Beautiful’s resources to keep content consistent. Provide pet waste stations. Provide Watershed Roadway Signs to connect individuals with local watersheds and the importance of being mindful of these sensitive areas.
